Mchepuko means "detour" in Swahili, but it's also slang for a side chick

Diversión means "fun" in Spanish.

Yea, no idea why you chose these faces.

The English one makes no sense - it clearly means detour, using a French form that we just don't commonly use in English, not that diversion doesn't make sense for a road sign.

We divert rivers and streams, so diverting a travel path is an obvious alternate use, in a place where English clearly isn't a primary language

Basically, it's not funny, it's not even interesting.

I think it's the combination of the rage comic faces, and also that very few people here will understand all three of English, Spanish, and Swahili enough to get it without explanation

yeah, that would explain the lack of positive votes, but this animadversion is brutal, I posted the same in reddit and it is killing it, then we talked about the toxic community or reddit, I am very unpleasantly surprised. Lemmy has always been so far much more community like and supportive.

Big disappointment in a sub that gets one post per day.

The communities have the same topic, but they can still have different senses of humour. I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's okay if a post isn't popular

I am ok with no response, but this many negative votes is shouting toxic to me. This is maybe why it is dead in here. General forum is fine, but if you go specific it becomes a beehive.

Anyhow, peace.
