Anyone have tutorial recommendations for altering dress collar/necklines?
I have some scoop neck button down dresses and rompers that I don’t really like the neckline on. Anyone have a good resources for modifying necklines? Any recommendations that are especially easy to go to from a scoop neck? (V neck comes to mind?).

I assume you're going to be removing material to make the v-neck and does the neck have any elastic material?
On both pieces the collar seems to be made from the same fabric as the rest* with no elastic or anything
Full disclaimer that I'm just getting into sewing (a few months in), but I think you could get one of those frabic markers that washout with just water.
The hem won't be the same width, so if that matters to you I don't think my idea will work. You could minimize how noticeable it is by match the thread color with the shirt. Another option is to make it really visible and make it a design in the shirt. Even if you make a mistake you can just say you meant to do that.
That’s sort of what I’m imagining too, maybe folding the hem under so I can get the width I want as long as that doesn’t make it too thick? I actually do think the sheer width of the current hem might be what I dislike now that you’ve drawn my attention to it
So maybe a rehemming would be better I feel that will be less "destructive", and I usually go in order of least destructive to most since it's easier to take away than add on with clothing.
I’m going to try that before trying to alter the shape, thanks for your help brainstorming!
