To be fair, he was surprisingly effective as both a guide and fighter. Almost like he was secretly a Sith Lord the whole time...

Hah, I was about to comment that powerful Sith Lords are quite good at directions.

Doing a silly voice for a throwaway character is the best way to make sure the players never ever let that character out of the spotlight for a moment

Except it was Qui-gon that got Jar-Jar roped into traveling with them.

Obi-wan was being openly bigoted toward just about anyone who wasn’t humanoid or part of higher society.

“What’s this?” - looking at Jar-Jar

“Why do I get the feeling we’ve picked up another pathetic life form?” - referencing Anakin Skywalker

I dig a hole and place a length of fibre optic I have in the hole.
Now I wait for a backhoe operator to come by and dig it up. I then follow them back to civilisation.

Its not that hard, all it takes is a bad map, no due diligence, and a short timeline.

Maps aren't always right, construction companies have to pay for dial before you dig plans so they don't get them, if they do the ground found be marked wrong, the digger is only paid for 3 hours of work and they started 2 hours ago so they go faster.
