A way to offset the echo chamber effect

What if we reprogrammed algorithms so it sometimes shows you something complete opposite to your existing interests and opinions? Not always, but just a percentage of the time? Like you log into YouTube and see 9 videos tailored to your interests and one that is totally the opposite

YouTube recommendations already seem to be 90% opposite to my interests so they seem to be way ahead of you there.

Why? How much do you think people were going out and doing different things or hanging with different people. Everyone is afraid of the echo chamber but maybe the problem today is people trying to keep track of a million different global ways of thinking.

The opposite of my interests want to incarcerate people based on where they are from regardless if they did anything wrong. Fuck that, I am not giving them my time.

Do people not watch critics who explain why a particular media is bad?
I quite like the CW Flash series but enjoy the madvocate videos on how dumb the CW Flash is.
