Not in my case. Maybe you got too impatient with the C drive, but eventually you do see it there as well. Other drives are quicker and smaller, so you see it better there.
Haven't watched it long enough, is it actually moving the chunks around? Does have chunks that it just leaves alone because they're from important system files?

I had to automate all this stuff via scripting and tools back then - Win2k and XP reduced so much maintenance and risk.
Now do the Windows XP one. I used to love watching the lines go from purple to blue...

Yeah it seems to simulate all of that. And in the settings you can choose drive size and speed.
Awesome! Yeah maybe slower so it can be like a screensaver.
