I wanted to share my latest take on NGC 6559, also known as the Chinese Dragon Nebula, located roughly 5,000 light-years away in Sagittarius.This is a narrowband composition in HOO palette, totaling 1 hour and 40 minutes of integration time. Even with a relatively short exposure, the massive aperture and light-gathering power of the PlaneWave 17" CDK allowed me to pull out a fantastic amount of detail in the intricate dark structures and ionized gas lanes.The data was fully stacked and processed using PixInsight.Feel free to ask any questions if you want to know more about the image or the setup!
