Unable to find some communities

Hey,

I switched from lemmy.world to lemmy.today about a week ago. I am enjoying lemmy.today but still figuring some things out, and wanting to walk away from using my lemmy.world profile.

I created some communities on lemmy.world before moving here, and have been trying to add my .today profile as mod to them, but I can't find some of those communities through lemmy.today.

https://lemmy.world/c/missingpersons

https://lemmy.world/c/eattherich

https://lemmy.world/c/bjg

But when I search on https://lemmy.today/communities - these communities do not appear. What am I doing wrong?

I ended up typing in https://lemmy.today/c/[email protected] to find one community, and left comments there to interact with it, and be able to add myself as mod, but the comments are not appearing on my lemmy.world profile. it's as if my .today profile was shadow banned.

So I typed in https://lemmy.today/c/[email protected] and it simply shows "no posts" even though there are three posts on that small, largely inactive community. What is going on?

Same issue with https://lemmy.today/c/[email protected], it says "no posts" even though it is a somewhat active community.

It's odd because I have other communities that I mod that were available and it wasn't an issue.

Please offer any advise or comments you have.

Hope this post makes sense.

Thank you

An instance only starts pulling in posts/comments from a community on another instance once at least 1 person on that instance is subscribed. Very likely you're the first person on lemmy.today to subscribe, so it'll work fine for future posts/comments, but not historically.

Thank you for that explanation. I will test it and post content on those communities with my .world account now that my .today account is subscribed to them, so I can interact with them moving forward.

I wouldn’t know. What stands out to you as something you disagree with? You don’t like all my criticism of governments I’ll bet.

I actually don't care about governments at all, I'm an anarchist. But what stands out to me is how many comments you've had removed and your bans. You sound like a very angry person. And your post here does nothing to change that picture.

Like which particular ones do you disagree with though? Quote me.

My real point is that you seem very argumentative. For no reason. Example: you came in a Lemmy.today instance community that's for lemmy.today updates and decided to call the instance a "a joke."

So I disagree with you calling this instance a joke and think it's lame that you came here to say that. You seem to enjoy looking for arguments. It's weird to do that, in my opinion.

So but you specifically called me out for getting moderated. So I assume that you just automatically assume all moderation is good and accurate. Correct? If that’s not the case, and you don’t want to look like an idiot, please… Let me know what I’ve said that has been moderated that you disagree with, because that is how you’re defining me.

Come on, you can do it. I’m sure there’s something you don’t like

Bruh, with as much stuff as you have had removed by mods, I don't think they were all mistakes. You're looking for an argument that just isn't going to happen. Sorry to disappoint. :)
