That's basically my dad. He's ALWAYS been a "dial-a-lecture" type of guy, where your only input into the conversation is to tune his dials.
Not surprisingly, he complains of having no friends because he lives in a conservative area and he was always insufferably trying to convince them they are wrong.
He is spending his final years in communion with ChatGPT.
