gifs/redgifs won't load
Gifs and redgifs.com in particular won't load or will only sometimes load after 2-5 buisness days. Commented gifs and gifs from other sources will sometimes load but not too consistently.

Sync has unfortunately been abandoned by the developer. Even if you're able to find a solution for this particular problem, it still might be worth checking out other apps so you'll have a few options in mind once Sync breaks completely at some point down the road.
I personally ended up swapping to Summit; it feels a lot like Sync and the dev is very responsive. But there are a lot of good options to choose from!
I also landed on Summit, only thing that comes close in my opinion and the best app for Lemmy/Piefed at the moment.
Sync is now unsynced by the dev, find a new app to use.
I have the same issue with other apps. Voyager, Boost in android and iOS.
It should be working in Connect
Tap the tree dots for Post Options and then tap where the arrow points in the pic I link.
That's a good workaround, that I also use. But it would be nice if it could be fixed!
I guess some gif providers do stuff to prevent direct gif links.
