Fixing Multi-GPU performance, part 1 (80% better performance)

So I fired up Cyberpunk 2077 with the “low” graphics preset and it went from 27 fps with Mesa main to 50 fps with linux-dmabuf v6. That’s more than 80% better performance!
One of the big limitations mentioned is that this requires the game to be run using Wine Wayland, which requires a proton fork (like Proton-GE or Proton-Cachyos).
Also while this is about the Plasma/Kwin implementation, presumably other compositors will get the performance improvement too, once they implement support for the protocol.

I didnt see this was already posted to one of the main linux communities...
That being said, lots of exciting stuff in this space recently. It feels like compositors have finally gotten to a point where they can start taking advantages of the modernizations Wayland brings, now that they have implemented most of the basic desktop stuff.
