The show itself is basically a zombie at this point
Reading it closer, I think this is just Netflix renewing its license to stream the shows, not a renewal in the sense of agreeing to make more episodes.

The last season to air was in 2022, so it's totally reasonable to think it was done.

The main show isn't coming back, but some of the spinoffs is still going, and this deal includes streaming those, but not directly making new ones. AMC is making those.
