Imo clinging to the remainder of your hair is never a good look. I've had thinning hair since 25, and shaving it off looks infinitely better than the friar tuck I have going on at 30
I mean, a friar tuck at 30 is very different from a friar tuck at 60. Now, maybe I just think that because one you see old heads all the time with that look.

Better to be bald than balding
I told my wife, if i start balding I'm shaving it all off as soon as it's noticeable. She agreed.
