Republicans see ‘scary’ lack of enthusiasm among core voters ahead of midterms
Pollsters and GOP groups are raising the alarm about an unmotivated base in an election year that would be tough no matter what, given the president’s low approval.
Keep this childish doomerism to yourself in the future. "Muh heckin Marshall law!" won't even be necessary if you keep spreading this lost-cause narrative.
Assuming you're American of course. If not, please, Ivan, get back on the battlefield. Putin needs another 0.0023km today and your 30 minutes is up.
'Reality' Iis a deranged conspiracy by so called 'materialists' (most of them don't even believe in private property!) And interacting with anything but simulacra is a sin against american Jesus. I'm calling HUAC on you.
Which one of these is the better scenario for you in November: 30% of the total voting population votes Democrat or 80% of the total voting population votes Democrat?
Gun to your temple, which of those headlines would you rather see?
No wriggling out of it with "muh rigging!" or redistricting or anything like that, this question circumvents that. I'm asking a simple question of your opinion, is it better or worse for more people to vote Democrat?
E: downvoting without answering this extremely simple, no-wrong-answers question is very telling of the people making these arguments.
You're kind of representing the problem the Democratic Party has: they are obsessed with appealing to the "middle" so they can win elections, instead of actually advocating for goals and doing world-building that would threaten their corporate donors and the current power structure. Here we are discussing the likely authoritarian take-over over the most powerful country in world history, and you are bitching about people not being supportive enough of voting Democratic, even though nobody has said anything about not voting D.
So obviously, voting D is better than voting R. But guess what? Voting D will not correct the problem. People had 8 years of Obama, then 4 years of Trump, then 4 more years of Biden, and they still elected Trump again. If you think voting Democrat as the party is currently constituted will solve anything, you are insane (doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result). The party absolutely has to change, and it will start once people start demanding more of it than being -R.
Your solution is what then? To just chud out with a halfbaked "billions (of non-gay-space-commie suburban liberals) must die"?
It's a really simple question of "better" or "worse."
Can you say that your life has been better or worse (not "best" or "worst") with a Democrat-led government than a Republican one? I hope that we can agree with the obvious answer here.
Can you cite any evidence that says that the more votes for Party X has an inverse effect that supports Party Y? Of course not.
This isn't about the electoral college either.
You think that less support for the left than more is a good thing? And that a Communist party will just magick itself out of thin air after no one shows up against the Republicans in November because they believed this lost cause narrative?
Pure victim fetishism.

Ignoring how handicapped by Republicans both Dem presidents were, do you think the reason why Dems lost in 2024 was because people voted for Trump or because people didn't vote for Dems? 8 million people stayed home. I'm not one to shame somebody for voting-by-nonvoting, I even advocated for it in 2024 because of how particularly dogshit of a candidate Kamala was, but Dems lost because they didn't get enough votes. This is a numeric argument so fundamental to the core of democracy. There's no reason to argue that the opposite premise couldn't have had the opposite outcome.

Not scary enough.
That's promising news, but I don't think they're planning on winning a popular vote.

They're saying it's obvious what they plan to do.
It is obvious they are planning on stealing this election.
The question is what are we planning to do when they try to do this?
This is how adults deal with reality.
Maybe go write some fund raising texts for Chuck Schumer if it bothers you..
Reality!? That's commie shit. You need to just vote blue no matter who and let daddy deal with it.
The definition of reality is "commie shit." Ok, enjoy your cavitation.

Would it be OK if I just named my Tropico IV dictator "Joe Lieberman" and consider that my contribution to American democracy?

Question status: unanswered

Here is a comment replying to yours so you can continue talking to yourself or whomever you're having a conversation with. Truly fascinating stuff.
Wow, the pedophile party is losing support because literally every single one of them is a pedophile? I'm shocked.
If that actually concerned enough of their base, we wouldn't be where we are today.
