Still with no ideas on how to be profitable, yet they're supposedly one of the most valuable companies in the world. Capitalism makes no sense
Despite Georgia being a sun-soaked state and the Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE) being less for solar (and wind) than gas turbines, these assholes will be adding double the amount of natural gas generation (https://www.georgiapower.com/about/energy/plants.html) than is still deployed in Georgia. I don't know how you can get more dystopian than that, buy hey, it's the United States, which has a buffoon for a leader and no plans to stop global warming — "drill baby drill".

Imagine if that money had been spent on building out renewables instead
Renewables are being installed at a great pace... Would have been much better to use this money elsewhere
Their pace has been slowed down greatly under the Trump administration.
