Something about your litter box setup is upsetting your cat if they're not burying their poop. Try switching to different litter or simply adding more of it. Maybe they don't like the texture or there's not enough in the box, so they're just doing their business as fast as possible to get out of there. Also try cleaning the litter box more often, ideally daily.
