The work is World's Scariest Ride by Johnny Craig. Apparently according to this auction, "Johnny Craig was commissioned for a painting in 1994, and these are the concept sketches and some of the more detailed final sketches showing different P.o.V. and distance from the subject."
I think Johnny Craig did artwork for Tales from the Crypt, but maybe it was commissioned for a goosebumps cover? I didn't do much digging but found the auction and sketches to be the most interesting and wanted to share it.

This is backwards. The skeletons should be scared and flinching from the 6AM runner cranking the blender.
