Comments section CP problem
Lately the Comments section under Perchance generators have turned into something disgusting, and it's troubling that no one seems to be doing anything about it. I've been seeing shit like CP requesting: , sharing "secret message" links: and possibly even CP sharing quite often. Looks like those chat rooms aren't moderated at all and are becoming a ground for criminal activity. I, and I'm sure many of us as well, would really despise it if law enforcement took the problem in their hands and took down the only free and limitless AI generation site. Comments need to be either moderated or shut down, otherwise this site is at risk. Perchance is all about AI, so you could at least install some AI filter to check messages in the chat if you can't do anything else.
Please, take action.
Edit: who the fuck is downvoting?

Honestly? I kinda side with you, but not fully. As a father of 3 the topic of CP concerns me more than you can think. But the reality is, that they will never stop doing so. Also, putting on moderation will be the downfall of the perchance project imo, as it will prevent people from going for all kinds of their RPs that are not approved by society. Then, again, as a father, knowing that these people will never stop doing what they are doing, i prefer they share their AI generated shit, instead of harming real Children. Make of it whatever you want, but that's my 2 cent.
I was not talking about AI generated images or any guardrails on AI. I was talking about real, actual CP networking, with actual children, and the moderation of Comments (that's what I called chatrooms) where real people talk, not chats with bots.
I changed the title of the post for clarity.
I also don't support any kind of guardrails for AI itself, except abuse material based on real people and instructions on harmful actions.
Given that the comment section of the site has and is actively promoting the distribution of severely illegal material moderation is a must.
People here tend to mass downvote posts for some reason, no matter what it is: Bug reporting, question asking, anything.
And yes, this place is really just a downvote circlejerk.
This is why I unsubscribed from this and am moving from AI services. I swear, when I get all of my friends on perchance to move to Stoat, I'll leave that CP scumbag site forever.
Why not Discord tho? Privacy reasons?
Yes.
Trying to defend the dev and realizing you're wrong, eh?
Hahaha, no. My dumbass brain just got its hopes up that Stoat is an AI similar to Perchance, and wanted to ask, and then I just googled it and realized it's a Discord type thing.
I'm as pissed at the dev as you are, and even more for endangering a site I value.
Aaaah, okay, okay, sorry. Hammer AI is one, though.
Does it only have a chat? Does it have image gen? Does it have limitations? Or censorship?
Not only posts, but every comment. Someone downvoted literally every comment in this thread.
Now I really wonder who those people are to get so pissed about the call to stop CP distribution.
Actually, I think it's some dev bootlicker. The dev doesn't do shit on the website except putting it down for changes nobody asked for, yet any reports about problems (it causes) on the website will get downvoted. Good job on opening the case, don't listen to those downvotes.
Yep, some dev bootlicker defending their zero-fucks attitude just because they're a single person or whatever.
Like come on, shutting comments down shouldn't be that much of a probem. When shit gets out of hand to this level, things need to be done. Regardless of how tired or busy you are.
Finally, someone that thoughtful. I think the issue is some of us got friends in the comments section, so... The best would be giving it better moderation.
Human moderation is really too much to ask for, AI moderation - I dunno. Considering the dev's indifference, best would probably be to get rid of it.
According to one of thse CP senders themselves, the AI moderation (revealed by @saveperchance to be a mere word filter) in the website is really weak. For an example, you can circumvent it by typing CP instead of Child (I ain't typing the entire thing.).
That's not AI, it's just a basic word filter. That's never going to do shit cause you're always able to circumvent it by censoring or saying it in another way.

Yeah, it concerns me on how the Chatrooms are unmoderated, like I know the creator is really busy and can’t moderate right now but gosh The chat room is getting worse and worse, cause yesterday i was using perchance As usual then out of curiosity i took a quick glance to the chat room but then I saw someone talking about really, really disgusting topic—I’m not going to say this here cause I’m afraid I might get banned…I just really hope the creator would take action.
Not every comment is deranged like that, most of it are normal people - well, not exactly normal 😅 - but nothing criminal, but from what I've seen and heard, it really is a significant problem.
Like all of us, you're suggesting ideas only for them to fall on completely deaf ears, the dev is not here or anywhere we can reach them. That's why all this shit started in the first place.
No, not only criminals, it's not like it's dark web or something. A lot of people chat normally, but yeah, if no one's gonna moderate it in whatever way, let it be gone for good. I bet most people wouldn't care, but if they do, apologies to them, but the risk is too high.
Yeah, the fact that the dev is either AWOL or doesn't give a damn.
?
Almost anything on the internet is moderated. Maybe because moderators get paid or profit from ads, or maybe because there's less to moderate. Idk why they can't moderate Perchance chatrooms, possibly because people are creating their own generators uncontrollably and each one has its own chat? In this case they should really install an AI filter.
Like, a few months ago I didn't see anything of the sort there. People are getting bolder because they realize it's an unmoderated chaos, and it can even get worse if nothing is done about it and bring some undue attention.
I heard that the creator was a single Individual, they handle All AI and controversial things and if you read the note near the Chatrooms or comment you will see that the Owner said they don’t have time to moderate
Holy fuck, of course it's impossible if all of it lies on single shoulders. It's really unfortunate that people can't be decent human beings and wherever rule enforcement is slack they exploit it. But it can't go on like this, so they have to choose one of the two options.
Two options, yeah, a good example is when the creator or perchance.org is unknown or stays anonymous, yet they continue to dedicate to perchance, on the other hand there’s of course shitty people always talking about some disgusting topic but yeah sooner enough they get what they want, just not in the way they think.
What do you mean?
Example when a person get’s a high paying job, at first they feel good and energetic, sooner and sooner more pressure and stress comes in, slowly. They got their dream job but not in the pretty little fantasy they think
Do you by any chance know where I can contact the creator directly, or at least as close to that as possible?
First of all, how did you even manage to conflate "free and limitless AI generator" with a "no-limit user chat"?... Secondly... Can't you see how you're contradicting yourself? You agree with my concern about Perchance being in danger, yet you argue against preventing the very thing that endangers it. I'm not arguing for any censorship at all except against CP networking and other illegal shit. And given the indifference/absence of the dev, don't you think the best option is removing the comment section entirely?
The flagging does a shit job, aka nothing, to prevent it. Even if you get banned, you can easily circumvent it by changing your IP, and the fact that nothing prevents those messages from being sent in the first place is a problem. So you can do whatever you want until you get banned, and then switch your IP and continue. Is that moderation?
CP distribution and possession is illegal, and if a site facilitates it, even by negligence, it eventually attracts legal attention. Obviously, the priority should be CP producers and active pedophiles, but it doesn't mean we should do nothing to its consumers.
Perchance warns you several times that you should only use a NSFW generator or view NSFW images in the gallery if you're 18+. If a minor actively chooses to access adult content, that's on them. What, do you want an ID age verification? Be fr.
If there was moderation filtering out those creeps in the first place, that wouldn't be needed.
If I was making a generator, I would just disable the comment section entirely, or write some (sadly, fake, as we can't actually implement it) message that there's a strict AI moderation that sends your whole data to the cops if you write something like this, lol.
I can think of some other ideas - such as trying to implement an extensive word/link text filter.
And did you change Comments to Feedback and disable other users except yourself from seeing it? If yes, nice move.
Quite well put! Though, what I’ve been currently advocating, is the removal of a comment section on a specific generator that’s notorious for csam distribution
I’m yet to understand how doing my basic civic duty, in reporting all the CSAM I’ve come across in light of obvious administrative negligence; is crusading
And again, just because there are larger platforms that have the material, does not necessarily remove the risk at hand
Because this kind of shit running freely there puts the site at risk (let alone the obvious argument that it shouldn't be distributed anywhere, and we should do what we can to stop it). Isn't it clear.
And yes, if no one's gonna moderate the comments, they should be removed. Is it also not obvious that the lack of proper moderation attracts bad apples, and bad apples can bring trouble upon a site that does next to nothing to counter it?
