I miss old Radio Shack. But the the last few years it was around in my area, it was mostly a phone and tv store. It was a desperate move to stay current and in business. But it was awful. Very few small electronic parts in stock that I could buy. Just overpriced phones and tvs and some remote control toys.
Yeah, I went through the same experience. Only hit it up a couple of time after it changed, and it seems like it was soon after that they were all just gone.

Which sucks, because my very first computer experience ever was playing a game on a TRS-80
