Active cooling is neat but when it’s 40°C outside it doesn’t do a whole lot.

If a heat pump is installed to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and it happens to be able to be used as an air conditioner I fail to see the issue.

UK needs to find it in themselves to create a building code. Perhaps they have, but from what I have observed the concepts of insulation and triple glazing is for the upper class, alongside a chorus of “but we have old homes”.

People largely have double glazing instead of triple because people don't replace their windows very often so they will be using something older. Triple is getting more common for new installs but how often do you replace windows?
