The full omb proposed change to the world of science in addition to this is absolutely terrifying. I have no idea how it's not bigger news. It will completely decimate scientific development and integrity in the States. The brain drain will be catastrophic.

Isn’t this what Russia and China do? Communism! You will obey the party or face the consequences!

Isn’t this what Russia and China do?

It's very funny to see people continue to compare these two countries in a single breath. Russia is far more in line with modern day Brazil, Mexico, Indonesia, or Iran, both in terms of its economic throughput and its level of domestic development.

China's only real peers are the US and India. They're operating with a fully distinct socio-economic goal and political philosophy. And their economy is 10x as large, never even mind the technological capacity they're reaching.

It's like talking about the World Cup and mentioning Japan and England in the same sentence.

I understand that he’s a Christian Nationalist, but can anyone tell me just what the hell happened to Russel Vought that made him such a colossal asshole? I mean, what is his problem?

It feels like he’s hell-bent of making Americans suffer.

Did they learn that idea from Israel?

Edit: the appointees, not the scientists.
