Copilot will soon be able to help you track down system resource issues—while swallowing your RAM
Windows Latest recorded 791.7 MB of RAM usage from the Copilot app at idle, suggesting it can reach up to 1 GB of system RAM usage in total. I've left the Copilot app open in the background as I write this article, and it's currently sitting at around 560 MB—making it the third most RAM-heavy application currently running on my PC.

Same. I've been happy with the move and as far as gaming is concerned, it's been so much smoother and a much better experience even with the more limited support from vendors.

I don't think Copilot will be able to help me track down system resources... on Linux. I use Arch*, BTW.

I've been on EndeavourOS for the last year or so, and I have to say it's been rock solid. The only issues I've had have been around display scaling, since different programs and games handle it differently. Some things work better in X11 mode, and others better in Wayland. It's weird some games report a weird 1706x960 resolution with 225% scaling on my 4K TV.
HDR and variable refresh rate just worked out of the box though!
I miss when task manager told you resource usage as soon as you opened it.
How to disable Copilot

Navigate to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Copilot. Double-click "Turn off Windows Copilot," select "Enabled," then click Apply and OK. Restart your computer for the changes to take effect. :::
::: spoiler For Home users Home users without access to the Group Policy Editor can disable Copilot via the Windows Registry. Press Windows + R, type regedit, and press Enter. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows. Create a new key named WindowsCopilot if it does not exist. Inside this key, create a new DWORD (32-bit) value named TurnOffWindowsCopilot and set its value to 1. Restart your computer to apply the change. :::
