This is how criminals should be handled, they should be trialed and sentencend, not deported which helps no one.

Great, now I can pay for the accommodation of a literal child slave trader from Iraq for 15 years. Thank you

Dude reads about children being held as sex slaves and the first reaction is "oh no imprisoning them costs money 😱"

Foreign criminals don’t just get deported. They receive a sentence, such as jail time and then deported after, if sentenced as such.

Me calling my Middle eastern friends to murder my enemies here in Germany and all they get is a flight home.

Genius.

You mean Russians coming here to murder Germans, or people can go to Russia and mixer people there?

I really hope they don't send him some place where he's going to be released again..

For certain reasons, a prison sentence in Germany may not be imposed without review to last for the remainder of a person’s life. Technically he has to be given a chance to be released.

Her former husband had declined to speak in court.

... and hid behind a piece of paper. At least face the music, coward. Not so mighty and powerful now, are we?

That is completely normal. Criminal courts are usually public, fotos however are only allowed right at the beginning. The defendent has the right, and most use thst right, to not be seen in pictures as ti make resocialisation possible.

I am aware of all that. Still, this gesture is fraught with bitter irony when coming from people who did unspeakable things in the name of some political or religious ideology. Yesterday, they stood proud, doing what they did out in the open, claiming their ideology gave them the right to do it. Today, they cower and hide, not wanting to be connected with their deeds. If a human court of law and a bit of social stigma is all it takes to make your beliefs crumble, maybe your beliefs were shit to begin with, and you could have had this realisation at a fraction of the cost in human suffering. But alas...

Privacy is important, but there is a reasonable point at which the identity of a convicted criminal becomes a matter of public interest.

I think him being a child sexual abuser and salver is what gets him no mercy. Having a mental disorder doesn't mean by itself that someone has or will abuse anyone.

Often pedos need special protection in jail, as other people may get to beat them up or kill them if they discover why they got in jail.

It is very good that they get extra protection; however not many people get sad if the protection fails to work every once in a while.

Whom and how? I'm really interested. He's not getting out ever, unless he can convince the people who are going to evaluate him in 15 years that he's safe to release. Who is going to be helped by seeing his face? How so? Give me an actual non-bs reason please?

It would help people who enjoy reading the news stay informed about what is happening in detail.

Maybe. But it's hard to draw the line. I don't want to be labeled my life time as a criminal for just peeing outside, as it happens in SOME country.

You shouldn't be doing it, though. It's unhygienic. Pee in the toilet, please.

Yes, that is totally the same as being a sex offender….

I didn't say that. But depending on the context, it could at least be considered exhibitionism and therefore sexual harassment.

-3

Peeing against a tree is hardly sexual harassment, unhygienic or damaging to anybody.

If anything, if you feel sexually harassed while I'm peeing then maybe you got a bit too nearby and are probably sexually harassing me.

I mean.. he is sentenced for life. What does it help anyone to know what they look like?

He'll most likely not spend his whole life in prison, but rather on average about 20 years.
