[OC] [FB] Beep Beep Mortality Bus
We drove ourselves across the cliff
into the air some time ago.
Now we tumble on and down;
is there a bottom? I don't know.
At times we dash upon the rocks
and some of us get ripped apart,
but we remain and chide our selves
To carry on and take some heart:
we wouldn't be here for no reason;
times are hard but for a season!
Once we get our bearings straight
we'll be all right, so just you wait.
And then we take another blow,
and more friends die, and we slip low,
and one day maybe it'll end
for one or all. I guess til then
I'll hold on tight to who is near
and brace us 'gainst that mortal fear.

The title of this poem is borrowed with love from Allie Brosh's excellent book, Solutions and Other Problems
