They have nothing else to compare it to.

Why do you think they are so hot to defund PBS?

Talk to anyone who was around in the Cronkite Era.

There were laws that kept any single entity from owning a lot of TV or radio stations nationally. No one could own more than one TV station and two radio stations [AM and FM] in one market. Reagan came in and decimated the FCC

I was already on board, no need to sell them any harder

They just built a shiny new drug infested sex den near me. I keep meaning to see what books they have available to check out when I stop by for the drug orgies.

Well, funding has lowered so they're just following trends to make money.

Wait is there any truth to this at all?

Edit: it's true. Fox news actually had this segment. What in the actual fuck. So it's fine to just lie on the news?

Lol no. Have people ever done drugs in a library? Sure. They e also done them at churches, and schools, and town centers, and pretty much everywhere.

Are all of those places now drug ridden sex dens? Lol no. But Fox clearly has an agenda to get rid of free places that educate and assist people. They could do the same article and just say "public schools" so that conservatives clutch their pearls and buy into charter or religious private schools.

Conservatives are a simple, fearful bunch.

I meant this being an actual topic on Faux and also whether having some basis in reality.

Is it Photoshop?

You know what really pissed me off? Parks and Recs (TV show) portrayal of Libraries and librariens.

It is of course a running joke, other than Tammy 2 there is no reason to hate libraries so much. Do you think viewers took it seriously?

Seriously? Of course not. However there are subconscious / subliminal effects in all forms of entertainment, especially Television / movies. Tell a vision, (television) programming the human mind. TV channels (channeling; spells).

Gonna have to disagree with you there. I've binged the whole series twice and I love libraries. In fact, I can't even remember anything from the show about libraries at all.

Now that I think about it, I fucking hate Indiana for some reason. I'm sure that's completely unrelated though
