I was really dead set on finding an βOlympicβ connection with blue. Stumbled upon the right answer by accident.
Also, I donβt understand the complaints about the puzzles containing American content or spelling. The NYT is an American publication. New York Times. New York is an American city. Why shouldnβt it contain American content?

There were no βincorrectβ spellings. Just Americanized spellings. NYT being an American publication, you have to adapt.

Firstly, it's CHEQUE, not CHECK.
Secondly, who deals with Amex cards outside the USA?
Finally, I really should've got the Ws! π«£

Amex shit, really? I look forward to more corporate knowledge bullshit in the future. For the "payments" category, wire didn't seem to fit so well because the other 3 can be used in a store (or at least used to be, I don't think anyone takes check these days). Might as well have been gold. Also saw the W words but tungsten didn't leap to mind enough to get the category early

Go ___: GREEN, WEST, WITH, PLATINUM
I never would have got blue without a web search. I didn't even know Amex had tiers to their cards.
