I can't get over the the complete idiocy of doing this in close proximity to a pressurized fuel tank with the valve in the open position, using a rubber hose to feed the burner.

I appreciate how the title indicates which part of this will go wrong, given that this setup has so many possible ways to go wrong that you can't be sure in advance which one it will be.
