This community is gaining about 10-15 users a day in subscribers, so you could definitely get the player count for a small tight nit server.

I think 1.7.3 is the version I first played. It has such a fond place in my heart ❤️

I am down for a server!!

That seems like it could be fun. It's hard to find a good server full of strangers though. If we do, I hope it can be more of a social space and not get griefed to hell.

I would definitely want it to be whitelisted, we could have a whitelist application here on the community.

I suppose that would help. The biggest hurdle is finding the best way to host the server. I don't have any hosting experience except using a hosting site, but I don't think it would be a good idea to put the burden of paying a hosting site to run our server on someone's shoulders.

It could be ran on a PC at home, beta servers are super easy to run compared to modern versions. I would do it myself if my ISP didnt force me to buy a business plan to portforward so I can only host through a VPN.

I've never attempted a portforward before. Maybe this is the time where I look into it. I hope my ISP doesn't want to charge me extra. I have Spectrum so we will see.

Edit: NVM, looks like @aranym has it covered.

Hell yeah that would be amazing! If you get it up and running, I'm sure the mods would make an announcement.

Man I haven't gamed in a long while it feels. I miss the old days of minecraft. I see updates about it and it's weird how much it's changed. I joined in Beta 5.3, I believe.
