Got told by the boss yesterday that he's cutting everyone's hours. That'll leave me with an even less barely liveable income.

Proud to announce I have done the most thorough job possible splashing a muddy puddle up my leg. I nearly reached the groin. If you need any tips or pointers on how you too can achieve these results just reach out.

when walking walk as close as possible to the outer edge of the footpath, this ensures the big splashes from the road can reach you ๐Ÿ‘

This sounds advanced but I'll be sure to give it a go. Already worked out that tram sand shows up wonderfully on black pants when it dries down.

also, aim to walk on wobbly looking pavers in the path, these have icky muddy water underneath, a hidden puddle! When walked on they squirt filthy water up your pants. Extra points if it goes up your pants leg hitting bare skin. ๐Ÿ‘

I apologise for my initial hubris. There's clearly much more to learn.

This leaves out the whole difficult question of treading on dog shit bags inadvertently. Some pop with explosive results, some just squirt sideways. Riding a bike over them also can have unpredictable results.

I've driven over one. Not a pleasant experience. Luckily it was not me who had to high pressure the under carriage of my car.

I once cooked roadkill kangaroo on the under carriage of my car. The smell was so bad I had to close the roof until I reached the next town. And I did have to clean it.

2

Saw a 60yo+ dude attacking another 30yo+ dude who was riding his bike on the footpath with an umbrella yesterday on the way to the shops.

Pretty rare for this area.

Both were doing the wrong thing so it was hard to know who to bet on.

Should have brought the complaint jar. Would've cleaned up with whatever that was all about.

7

Had to unplug move some Ethernet cables while installing security cameras, should be fine now

Bom radar looks weird this morning. Also walking the dog in the rain when it's cold isn't fun

Went with Reolink security cameras, cost double the megacorp brands for obvious reasons, will also VLAN isolate & eventually lock to VPN.

4

Gotta pay extra for processing that isn't offloaded to their servers. And for wanting the ability to use it after they've decided it's obsolete. And denying them their data tithe.

I disputed the transaction fees associated with the fraudulent transactions that happened a little while ago, not realising they were part of what the bank were going to refund. So it looks like they have refunded the transaction fees twice. Just gonna say I think I'm the real winner in this compared to the people buying AI compute and this will be the last I mention of the matter

My chant regarding AI: POP! POP! POP! POP!

Edit: also I heard that openai fucked up by having it's codex write terabytes of data onto users ssds, possibly causing them to die within a year. Love that for them.

4

If the average person wasn't already against AI I think the price of the Steam Machine is making them hate Sam Altman. I just hate people who don't know how computers work thinking it's the answer to everything

Start of conference. It would be a great time to catch up on some other work but there's a kid at home this week.

Looking at birdies raised garden beds.

61cm w x 92cm l x 74cm h = $196

92cm w x 61cm l x 74cm h = $205

Make it make sense

Some dipshit didn't realise they stack the same on a pallet and assumed one took up more space than the other. Or that one took up more container space without thinking to rotate. Same diff, just depends on where it was calculated.

1 thing crossed off my adulting list for today

another off the list

Nearly done all the day's tasks

tomorrow is go to library day ๐Ÿ˜Š

I realised today how little I care about work achievements.

Just a means to an end. And that's a big change for a former workaholic.

3

it's a beautiful night out there

the wind is still, not too cold, the clouds part to show stars, the moon is full and glows gold, the air is fresh with the smell of gum trees ๐Ÿ˜Š
