i mean PR is a full time job too. i don't know how much they do (i try to stay out of that mess) but like, it is a necessary job.

Looking at it, it's weird that it doesn't respect
indexableflag on profiles, instead saying you need to add a hashtag to your bio to opt out?The what?
Evan Prodromou recently launched tags.pub, which is a service that creates a bunch of accounts that boost hashtags. People on the masto side didn't like that it was opt out, and getting their notifications spammed.
It was mostly people in the This Is My Hugbox And You Will Facilitate That For Me section of The Mastodon Network™ that were pissed about it.
Mutual trust between threadiverse instances is a bit tenuous these days ...
We have ~500 instances, most of them are fine.
