The longer that Mone match was going I think it kinda got worse for it. Really wanted Maya to have that one.
I think her wardrobe issues killed the momentum. They had to keep being careful and work around it. It was still a banger for me, but I could notice the holding back. Must be hella frustrating.
If you look at everything before that happened, it was going smooth.
Honestly, I feel like that was the one miss last night. A win would have completed Maya's underdog story and Mercedes' crash out. Now we have a heel vs heel match for the title at All In.
Quite the opposite. Story wise it is getting so close but not quite there. It paves the future grind to the top. Maya has only been wrestling 5 years and she has many more to go. No need to rush it.
I was seriously considering naming the thread something completely ridiculous like "AEW-CMLL-NJPW-Stardom-KFC-AARP-WFT Forbiddidden Door 20X6" But the title is too fuckin' long as it is.
