For a game that hinges heavily on Ui interaction, getting it right is important because its obvious when its wrong. The writer saying "dont let perfect be the enemy of good" probably would have complained if it came out with a clunky UI

Context: Stardew Valley has sold over 50 million copies. Assuming he hasn't blown all of that on luxury cocoa imports for research purposes, Barone probably never needs to make a videogame ever again.

That's a lot of luxury cocoa imports for research purposes.

I was pretty excited when the game was announced years ago and impatient for it to come out. Now I'm just excited and in the waiting groove. Playing missed games like graveyard keeper is holding me over pretty well
