When did Ram become separate from Dodge? Like I know a lot of Mustangs lack Ford branding, but they're still Fords. Is it the same for Ram trucks or were they spun off from Dodge at some point?

And other than looking (and sounding) menacing, is a Ram really better than a Tacoma or Titan? The Titan, in particular, is just as menacing looking as the Ram. Even Fords have that big boxy grille in front, though. They look like they're meant to ram into other vehicles, like some kind of Mad Max or Carmageddon type thing.

I learned how to drive in big cars (think "boat" or "land yacht"). I can park a pickup just fine, though the biggest I've parked was a GMC half-ton (Sierra 1500 from the 90s). I don't see a problem driving/parking a bigger one, though. Big vehicles is what I learned in. But it's not my preference. I like small and maneuverable. (Sorry, that's one word I'm not using English to spell, it's too much word vomit to type out. The Americans have the better spelling here, by far.)

RAM became a separate brand due to loopholes in fleet fuel mileage regulations. Just a way avoid their horrible mpg from dragging down the rest of the Dodge average, and save money by avoiding efficiency improvements

2009, but it was strictly a branding/marketing tactic. It's all still the same company (Stellantis).

American men love trucks, and high gas prices aren’t swaying automakers. Ram has a new line of trucks, and some in-your-face ads to sell them. | Spyke
