The article delves into it a bit. I can feel it when in Japan, and I quite like Japan's monoculture - even as a tourist. It's basically taking dojo etiquette and applying it everywhere. Everyone is born and raised with the same culture and same values. They get along, and work as one.

They even take it in turns when cheering at a baseball game. No negativity. You cheer or be silent. It's so wholesome to see.
