Massive props to their communications/media team. They are hands down the best I've seen so far.
It is interesting how Mamdani has much longer coattails than AOC and that he is participating in primaries almost immediately.
It is a great strategy and I hope it pays off, but it feels like Mamdani is moving the needle a lot more.
It's cuz he's a man, the patriarchy still calls the shots unfortunately.
Sexism might be an easy answer, but let's not forget that AOC is a rep with a small district, and got around 100k votes. Mamdani represents millions of New Yorkers and curried more than a million votes in his election. Mayor is also a much broader executive position than being one of 438 reps.
Point being, Mamdani's election/position comes with a lot more mandate than AOC's, regardless of gender.
That statement massively undercuts the candidates that he endorsed. Brad Lander has absolutely been putting in the work, and these candidates are all much more than just ‘Mamdani’s candidates.’ Fantastic that he endorsed them, but give credit to the candidates.
Or maybe people prefer candidates who aren't corporate shills, and those get endorsed by Mamdani.
The culture warlords only know tribal identity sportsball politics.
The concept of empathy and supporting kind people does not benefit them financially, therefore it is invalid.
