“Unfair” in that US farming subsidies aren’t being leveraged as well by US mushroom growers with strong lobbying arms.

Funny thing is, I’ve seen stories of local farmers in the US turning to the dutch method of mushroom farming to replace poultry and hog farming, and they’re doing quite well. It’s the legacy mushroom growers who are struggling.
