Jesse Watters on Cuba: “My banking buddy told me that after we topple Castro, we’re going to be able to buy 100 acres of pristine Cuban coastline for like 50 Gs”

Surely the descendants of mobbed-up casino owners expropriated by Castro will have something to say about that. It’s not unlikely that they will have sympathetic ears in the Whitehouse as well.
Putting aside all the other horrible things about Watters' appeal here, he's trying to convince working class Americans that this will somehow lower the cost of land for them despite hundreds of years of evidence to the contrary. How's giving wealthy people more access to land going to reduce it's scarcity on the market? It would go to the highest bidder and get sold off in chunks at an inflated cost like every other land grab before it.
This would be a much easier sell if we weren't all seeing empty two million dollar/sqft living space every time we went outside for the past six years. I think the imperialists sshrunk the wire so much they started to see their own ideologies' reproductive apparatus as an externality.
I don't like this guys eyebrows
Colonialism hasn't ended until it's reversed, towards degrowth, stability, and privilege being distributed.
The powers that be within the system know that Neoliberalism is a colonial philosophy, and that's how they're practicing it.
PR and the lifestyle of the majority tries to disconnect us from seeing it, but it's true. Capitalism and easy going consumerism tries to act as the blinding opiates, but everywhere there it remains.
FTFY.
Colonialism is just an emergent form of being a selfish asshole, just like monarchy was, and corporations are and war is.
