Tech billionaire accused of assaulting partner, cutting $66k Birkin bag with scissors

I'm already annoyed that money is buying special treatment.

If police came to my house after a family violence incident, found stolen property in my bedroom as well as drugs, I can't see any way I'd be awaiting trial outside a cell. On top of that, this guy is allowed to leave the state to go visit his mum.

It's a big club and we're not in it.

Money always buys special treatment. The entire concept of fines for resolving penalty units is special treatment for the rich, the state allows you to just buy your way out of penalty.

A $66K Birkin Bag! WTAF?

How did we get to this?

People who know the price of everything and the value of NOTHING!

EAT THE RICH!

Yes. We live in capitalist dictatorships where your level of freedom and representation are proportional to your wealth (including the wealth of your network).

They have seized the means of democracy via "donations" (bribes), grooming the most corrupt sociopaths into state and federal politics.

Perhaps we might be still above board enough that we get to find out what this guy's been up to. Some other billionaire in some other country might have been able to hush up the situation.
