FAW tests sodium-ion battery on heavy truck: 90% capacity retention in extreme cold and 20-minute charging

The test vehicle, a FAW Jiefang J6P new energy pure electric tractor, was equipped with a 339 kWh high-capacity sodium-ion battery. Over a testing period spanning nearly seven months, the vehicle covered a cumulative distance of over 15,000 km.

15,000 km is not an awful lot of distance, but it's good to hear that we may get rid of Diesel HGVs in the not too distant future.
