Olivia Rodrigo announced her own music festival Daisy Chain Fields
cross-posted from: https://sh.itjust.works/post/62242442
Taking direct inspiration from Lilith Fair, the inaugural event features a lineup of only female artists or female-fronted bands, including Chappell Roan, Bikini Kill, Doechii, Mitski, the Breeders, Garbage, Katseye, Santigold, and Rachel Chinouriri. The day will also include rising acts Not for Radio, Die Spitz, Quiet Light, and Eli, and special guests Stevie Nicks, Karen O, and Sarah McLachlan.
Net profits from ticket sales are directed toward nonprofit organizations dedicated to advancing and advocating for women and girls, such as the Center for Reproductive Rights, Planned Parenthood, and Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health. All of the artists have agreed not to take a profit from their performances.

Tickets being sold by ticketmaster? I really hope not.
Can’t just be happy that all the proceeds are being donated to women’s causes?
Edit: they’re not using Ticketmaster by the way. They’re using Front Gate Tickets.
I'm exceedingly happy about it.
I came off a little more abrupt than I meant to, apologies - the presale has started so it wasn’t hard to find the ticket seller and your initial comment felt more negative than it probably was meant to be.
Anyway, I’m going to pour a cup of coffee now and chill out lol
No worries my friend.
@velma I'm not a big fan of her music, but she's got pretty good taste! Also, like how she's just listed like any other artist on the lineup. Kudos to her!
Same, I'm not a huge fan of Rodrigo's music, but she is a pretty great pop star and she seems to put her money where her mouth is which I really appreciate.
The lineup is FANTASTIC and I hope this is just the start!
Omg that's an incredible lineup
Right?! My day is forever ruined that I can't make it.
Yeah there's no way I can go, but I'm happy it's happening and I hope all the people who go have a great time!
I'm keeping my hopes up that this won't be the last!
I have faith in younger musicians. Pretty great lineup.
