A privacy activist with Google Nest cameras inside his home?
Wtf
Glad I setup my system with an overkill ups. Cameras hardwired with POE. Switch powered through UPS. NVR powered through UPS.
System runs for ~3hrs with no power.

I picked up some cheap wifi cameras on sale. They're battery powered ones with IR, internal memory and solar panels for $40.
The issue is the baked in cloud backup is a service. I need to finally setup Homeassistant to hope I can offload to a NAS or cloud on my own vs $5/camera. I want to own my videos.
Hmm. Not saying this was justified, but I'm guessing it's illegal to dox the prime minister, and shutting off the power could have been to grab his devices before he could delete his hard drives.
No excuse for confiscating the cameras though.
Any politician agreeing on creating a surveillance state should be ok with their info being public when everyone elses is. And then using cops as paramilitary for retribution is just chef's kiss on exactly how dystopian and mismanaged governments have become.
