Well, now, uh, Launcelot, Galahad, and I, uh, wait until nightfall, and then leap out of the rabbit, taking the French, uh, by surprise. Not only by surprise, but totally unarmed!
Thanks! I just got chainmail armour for the first time and almost returned it cause it was heavier then I thought and stank bad but I degreased it a little. Used some guides online and it was not as heavy as I thought.
Thank you! The leg armour and sabatons (shoe armour) I made myself. It's part of my plate armour that I made fully by myself. I did make my own gauntlets but the ones in this photo are real steel from Amazon too. The sword is handmade by my dad and I painted it. I got the cape and hood from Amazon and the chainmail shirt from an online store called The Knight Shop. I used plastic from flower pots to make the leg armour and sabatons. And for my chestplate and other armour (that you can see in other posts in my profile) I used EVA cosplayer foam and more plastic. I found it easy to work with plastic and it has a metalic look. However, it can be tricky to spray paint and I used silver spray paint and a see-through top coat.
However, sometimes the paint flakes off which is the downside of not using real armour. I would love to get into real blacksmithing though but I do not have the training or space for a forge. But that would be epic. The chainmail shirt weighs 9kg and the hood weighs 2 kg so I was just getting used to it, lol. It did feel slightly heavy but not uncomfortable and even moved in the wind. I could easily run around and stuff like that. But if you want real chainmail it comes with lots of oil from the warehouse so you have to clean some off and it smells somewhat. Airing it out in the sun can help. Sorry for the long answer but it did take a few years to make though more that I kept tweaking and changing it. I will definitely save up for real armour like a chestplate but that might take time.
I love Cornwall! So many cool places. Going to participate at a tournament at Pendennis Castle though not in any combat as I don't have training or jousting equipment. Some day though.
YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO SAY "HOUSY HOUSY"- wait a minute, how old am I again? In fact, thinking about it, that sketch was kind of racist. Don't you bother none, youngin'. You have a blessid day now.
It is a silly place.
at knight time?

Thanks! It felt epic to wear real armour.
Did you make some of that yourself or did you buy? That looks pretty well done the stuff you have on
