so baffled why everyone is giving this film such a bad press before it's even released. I think if it performs badly it'll mainly be because spiderman is in a similar time-frame. I'm super-looking forward to it because Superman was great, and showed that Gunn can create superhero films which aren't too GotG-ish. But i guess he isn't directing this one, so there is that.
honestly, shitting on films before they are released seems to be a tradition when said films are female led... read of that what you will
Like you, I think Gunn knows what he is doing and can give us some great films if allowed to work his magic
It's never been more blatant than it is with this film. And sure, film critique sloptubers probably do it for the money rather than because they wholeheartedly believe they can push womens' rights back by 300 years, but even then I'm surprised they do it with their public personas.

Funny enough we just did this type of match up a year ago.
Superman came out on July 11th, Fantastic Four came out on July 25th.
Supergirl comes out on June 26th, Spider-Man comes out on July 31th.
Obviously Superman is Superman, and Spider-Man is Spider-Man, so we're not comparing apples to apples here, but each studio is sticking to a similar time frame.
I agree this film is getting hated on before release. But at the same time, all i know about it is she gets drunk on another planet and doesnt have powers there.
Not exactly exciting stuff, imo. I'll still catch it tho, in case it's good.
Watch a trailer? It lays out the main plot of the story pretty clearly.
