Towing?
I've been excited about buying a slate, but I just found out the towing capacity is only 1,000 pounds. I had hoped it would be higher than that, at least a little closer to a Ford Ranger. Anyone know why it's so low?

New text on website: "The Slate is rear-wheel drive and projected to have around a 1,550 lb payload and 2,000 lb towing capacity."
There was a possible leak yesterday that indicated a 2000lb towing capacity. In the middle of the night the Slate website changed, showing purchase price and a few other changes, but then changed back quickly, and Slate hasn't denied it or said anything about it.
Otherwise I don't have a good answer.
