I just tested it, and it works exactly as intended on my Android device. I select New: your post is one of the first (after the pinned ones). I select Old: and it looks like what you posted.
Are you running the latest version? Are you sure you didn't misclick (New and Old are right next to each other)?
Fair. Still doesn't answer the question about version, though. I'm aware that my original comment is one of those "well it works for me" types, but it's important for the Dev to see that it's not a universal experience when trying to sus out where the bug may be (if there is one).
That's really strange, since your post showed up as 2m old when I first looked at it (when sorting by New). Does it show up the same when you look at posts via https://lemmy.world/ (i.e. in a browser)?

It does say "New" at the top under the sub name.
