I have been with my wife for 30+ years. I tracked my wife's cycle because she 100% became a different person when she was PMS'ed up. I didn't ignore her, that's rude, but I did take things in passing and understood that abrasiveness and hostilities were likely because of the hormones and discomfort, not necessarily me.
The one thing that makes me nervous about menopause is the turning into a diff person due to hormone swings. I hope my husband extends grace like you have to your wife. You clearly love her :)
Wife has been going through it for two years now. It seems rough, I hate to tell you. We had to start using waterproof matress protectors due ro sudden hot flash sweat fests, even when it's cold.
Personality wise, she's just gotten a.lot more sensitive. Crying at random shit. Sad cry. Happy cry. Etc.
I'd want to track my partners if I had one but not so I can avoid "PMS-ing" but more so i can ensure that feminine products are well stocked when needed and also grab some comfort items they like.
And I think that's sweet! My husband is rather tuned in to my cycles, though he trusts that my 30+ years of experience having my period informs my choices on the type of feminine products I prefer. He will bring little treats though which is really thoughtful!
As a woman, I would also be wary of a man tracking my period without informing me because I'd be nervous of birth control sabotage or similar. I barely trust an app with that information. It all depends on the motivation for doing so.
I had a boyfriend start tracking my periods behind my back and then start ignoring anything I said when he felt I was PMS-ing.
Tracking menstrual cycles is one of those things that some women may really appreciate while others will find off-putting.

It all comes down to motivation!

That was how pregnancy hit me. Cried at absolutely everything!
Thanks for being a good husband <3
