shame you didn't include any of the native americans who were able to take on firepower with their bow and arrow skills
their only flaw was that there was just not enough native warriors after small pox whiped out north america
but the civil war vets were terrified of the lakota and crazy horse was their nightmare
They didn't have horses until the early modern age though. Even when they aquired them later three native Americans were never really 'horse nomads'.
there were hores once before in the Americas. the plains indians had remembered the horses in oral history and when they came back, they were tamed and used like the horses from the ages before. Like no time was lost.
They had been extinct for about 8000 years at that point.
Is extremely unlikely, especially as there is no evidence at all that horses were ever domesticated before 3700 BC, and that was in asia.

The length of the oral history doesn't matter if they never ride the horses before they went extinct though.
