Wow, what a chapter. It does give some explanations why the weird stuff is happening around Guts. And it's also good that he finally realises that his way of hate wasn't exactly helpful.
After reading some comments about this chapter: removing the chapter about the idea of evil was the wrong choice in my eyes. It foreshadows and explains enough to contextualize this chapter and make it not feel like an asspupl, as some accuse it to be. They probably couldn't read that chapter after it got removed from official sources.
