Uploading multiple images: the one thing keeping me from using piefed more
It really sucks that I can't easily upload a comic the way I could on reddit, for example. It's even easier on bluesky than it is here :(

Agreed! Galleries would be good for people posting sets on a theme, sets from an activity, or multi image narratives. Definitely a big plus if they were just galleries from the start and you didn't have to '+x in the comments'
it's suuuuuuch a hassle like I have a 46 page comic I'd totally upload here but it would be such a hassle! I've even put off uploading smaller sets of my work that are only like 5 images because it's such a pain to upload one image at a time x.x and then I just end up not using fedinsfw as much. And I'd really like to quit reddit!
The creator of Piefed is a super responsive fellow, but I do believe that fedinsfw is blocked on his instance, so he won't see this.
I tried looking through the current Piefed issues at https://codeberg.org/rimu/pyfedi but don't see one related to this particular thing.
Think it's worth it to bring it to his attention? IDK if it's as important to SFW creators since there's lots of places to post SFW stuff.
100% this - posting multiple images (or multiple short videos) is my #1 desire for piefed/lemmy/this instance.
You could try creating a gallery in Pixelfed and share it on PieFed. Maybe it works (haven't tried it myself)

I'm on .social but it seems they locked the sign in🤷♂️ But the .uno seems to have open register.
