Gonna make a hopefully simple merchants outfit for renn faire, not sure where to start.

So disclosure, I have done cosplay but never actual sewing a full outfit, I have sewing supplies and am crafty but the biggest I've ever sewn is a t-,shirt. The renn faire is at end of August, but my whole game plan right now is to maybe open up kingdom come deliverance 2, go through the character clothing options and possibly get ideas from there. My fiancee will also be doing this but we e got a wedding to plan so it's really more like 1 month total of possible prep time. Is a full outfit too much? Like some tights and a top? Maybe a poorly made hat? Idk, help

Remember it doesn’t have to look perfect… in fact it should look a bit rough. You can do it. Also remember you can always embellish a bit each time you wear it.

If you are tight for time, see if you can modify clothes you already have or can get at Goodwill or something.

That sounds like a really tight turnaround time, especially if you haven't designed clothing before. Will this be something you plan to work on full-time, or something you plan to work on after work/in your free time?

No just a hobby, so maybe then I could shop around at thrift stores to find clothes that look "slightly medieval" that I could alter, if that would be easier

Yes, that would make sense. 1 month isn't really enough for 2 outfits. It's not really even enough for 1 outfit. So you'll need to take as many shortcuts as you can

I did forget to mention my fiancee is just as crafty as me, so she'll probably be doing her own outfit. But yes you are right this is a bit too big of a project
