This was my first try of Urash by AYLM. Normally, this 200ml soap costs 55€, but I bought it for half price at https://www.artdubarbier.com/, just as I did with the aftershave. You can do so too – if you live in the right country.

Urash: The Shaving Revolution – A Secret Garden beyond the Walls of Babylon
After the triumph of Ishtar and Marduk, I crossed a new door into the fascinating universe of shaving cosmetics. This time, the focus is on Urash, the earth goddess who guards the soil and subsoil of magnificent Babylon. Through this door, I invite you to immerse yourself in a unique garden, beyond the majestic walls, where beauty finds inspiration in the land itself.
The opening to the south of the city, dedicated to Urash, leads to an extraordinarily earthy garden, where each element originates from an intricate tangle of roots. This peaty-toned cosmetic gives life to what remains after shaving, an underground life that constantly regenerates the planet. Tufts of white half-domes and fragile stems compose a unique landscape, an authentic expression of the essence of Urash.
The shaving cosmetic line, inspired by Urash, cannot ignore the inclusion of red gold: saffron, a molecule inseparable from this ancient spice. In an unprecedented cosmetic mixture, our creation is designed to stimulate cellular renewal, nourishing the skin after each pass of the blade, thus tackling the inevitable cellular aging.
Japanese Cosmetic Mushroom and Saffron: We chose to imitate what mushrooms do in nature: digest what dies to give new life. This combination of the Japanese cosmetic mushroom and saffron, precious and rare ingredients, creates a high quality cosmetic. A new approach to shaving, which promotes oxygenation and nourishment of the skin, renewing it in depth.
Fragrance: To accompany this unique experience, I dosed RADIX, an approach game with bright and fresh notes coming from the world of roots and bulbs. A unique fragrance, an unmistakable olfactory opening that transforms into enveloping comfort, a sensorial experience that transcends the mere ritual of shaving.
Urash represents a new frontier in shaving cosmetics, inspired by an earth goddess and enriched with fine ingredients. In addition to its cosmetic impact, this line stands out as a true sensorial experience, a beauty ritual that embraces elegance and Latin tradition. Enter the garden beyond the walls of Babylon, where every step evokes ancient Roman wisdom and the art of shaving becomes an act of refinement.
So, how was the shaving revolution doing on my face? The soap is a classic Italian croap, less liquid than Marduk, and about the same as Ishtar (if I remember correctly). I loaded heavily, and it was approximately the right quantity (which is 2-3 times what you would need from, e.g., a Saponificio Varesino soap). The scent is particular, not as earthy as I would have guessed, but I also didn't clearly get the ginger and bergamot aromas. In any case, it isn't as polarizing as Koké, but it was not love at first smell. It's ok I guess, but nothing to write home for – though I tend to like AYLM scents much more after a few shaves, and this may happen here as well. Performance was ok, but I might have to test a bit how much water the soap can take.
Is it worth it for the money? If you pay 50%, obviously. But what would 55€ for full price buy you (plus 38€ for the aftershave)? This is approximately the same price as a Martin de Candre 200g soap. With Urash, you get much more container at the same price point, and a more luxurious presentation. I happen to very much like their tubs. Shavingwise, I guess that the soap will last you much less long than a MdC soap, and it is also not obviously better. And I'm not exactly a fan of their woo claims.
Other than that, I very much like the Babylon theme (though not enough to get Hadad). I had no thoughts about the name, referring to the Babylonian goddess of the Earth, before I heard myself pronouncing it in English. I guess that that is where Sean Connery would have grabbed Mrs Moneypenny.
Brush: Wolf Whiskers - "Gianmaria" w/Maggard 26mm Synthetic
Razor: Puma 76 - Solingen - 13/16 Half Hollow (4)
Lather: Catie's Bubbles - Verdigris - Soap
Post Shave: Stirling Soap Co. - Varen - Aftershave
Post Shave: Zingari Man - The Stargazer - Aftershave Serum
I heard c_bubs mention he only loads the Premium base for 3 seconds. I'm always one to preach the word of the load (a heavy load, mind you), and I'm also not one to count while I load. I always load until I have "enough", or "plenty". So, counting to 3 while I loaded soap today was very out of the ordinary.
Sure enough, there was enough lather for 3 passes! Good lather, too! There wouldn't have been enough for any sort of pickup pass, but I didn't want to do one of those today anyway.
I'm going to load more in the future, but it was fun to try.
I didn't strop the razor today, because if anything it's still a tad too sharp, if that makes sense. This was my favorite shave with it yet! Felt great, nice and close.

Shared via emacs & sotd.elAll this talk about Babylon and goddesses is ancient history to us Americans. Plus, our culture views mushrooms quite differently.
😉
There may be a market for psychoactive shaving soap - though not for straight shavers, i would hope.
Yeah, I expect this will be sold in “dispensaries” here in the US

I'm really happy this morning. I've established remote command and control on u/ChrisDaBombz. I'm now choosing their daily soap. :)
Have a good one.

Another aquatic scent for the month. This one definitely gives me warm weather, Mediterranean Sea vibes.
